Just yesterday, I had a conversation with a nonprofit that is hash tagging the @rap out of everything. Can't make that horse drink! This is a very extraordinary time in our world. If you want to help and you want to be seen, it is more important than ever to follow social media norms, which by the way, will continuously change. Read more about hash tagging on FB.

A new year (and a new decade) is upon us which could mean a new website for your company or organization. Start the new year off right with a fresh look for your business. Here is a short checklist to ensure you have the necessary components to be seen and drive traffic to your website on the internet.
1. Responsive Design - A must have. Fact: More users today are accessing the web on mobile devices, surpassing statistics of users on the desktop. Is your currently website mobile friendly on all devices? This should be your number one concern when creating a new website.
2. Call to Action - Does your homepage have a call to action on the homepage? Engage the user immediately and leave nothing to the imagination on what you have to offer.
3. Quality Content - Not quantity. More is not better. Search engines will rank your site based on a number of factors, but quality and relevant content is number one. Does your website tell the story of your business concisely? Users do not want to scroll through pages of text so keep it short and sweet.
4. Contact Page - How can potential prospects reach you? Do you have a contact page? Is your email address and phone number on the home page?
